Youth Protection Training

Youth Protection Training is an absolute training requirement for adult participation in Troop 343 events and is required every two years.  If you haven't received the training or if you're in the window for recertification, the training can be accomplished on line at http://olc.scouting.org/.  The online training should not take long (no more than an hour) and produces a certificate which can be turned in to Jim Johnson, Mark Christopher,or myself for documentation/filing.  For those that are adult leaders in the troop, this training requirement is tracked by BSA through the annual troop registration process.

Other training modules which promote safety in our outings and produce training certificates are available at that website and you are highly encouraged to complete them, specially those associated with water safety and hazardous weather.

Again, Youth Protection Training is an absolute must!

Thanks in advance for your action on this!

Yours in Scouting,
Charlie Packard
Adult Leader Training Coordinator
