Attention scouts who have recently been elected into the Order of the Arrow!
A reminder to all you newly elected OA candidates, the next Ordeal Weekend opportunity is rapidly approaching. August 13 through 15. See the Coosa Lodge Ordeal Instructions for sign up information! Deadline for registration is August 6. Cost is $35. If you do not attend this Ordeal Weekend you must attend the November 12-14 weekend or stand for reelection to the OA next spring if you are still eligible.
At this point, you are Ordeal Candidates and not officially part of the the Order of the Arrow yet. To become actual members, you must complete the Ordeal Weekend within one year of being elected. In the Coosa Lodge, there are generally three Ordeal weekends a year. One of these weekends has already gone past so you now have two remaining opportunities, August 13-15 and November 12-14. The troop will do its best to keep those weekends free of troop activities.

Watch the Coosa website or keep an eye our the Coosa Lodge News at the bottom or our website which comes in via an RSS newsfeed from the Coosa website.
If you do not make the Ordeal during the year after your election, you have to start the process all over to include being elected again. This means you will have to keep your camping nights up in order to remain qualified.
