All reports from the whitewater trip to the Ocoee and Nantahala Rivers indicate that fun was had by all. After rafting the scouts had time to work on merit badges and rank advancement requirements. Special "Thank You's and Kudos" go out to ASM Rich Arnold for his efforts as the Outing Coordinator for the whitewater trip. "Thanks" also go out to all the adults and ASM's who attended the outing and provided transportation.

There will be a chance to get up close and personal with airplanes and aviation opportunities at the Moontown Airport Fly-In on September 18th and 19th. Admission is free and there will be opportunities for free airplane rides for those under the age of 18 through the Young Eagles Program. Breakfast and lunch will be served on Saturday and Sunday. The Troop 343 Court of Honor is planned for September 20th, at 7 PM. Following the Court of Honor Ceremony we will have a time of fellowship and refreshments to celebrate another great six months in Troop 343. All parents, grandparents, and siblings are invited to this important event. The hostess for our Court of Honor is Ms. Wendy Christopher. We will have appetizers and desserts after the pomp and circumstance. Members of each patrol are asked to bring the following items for our social time together:
Indian Patrol : Appetizers or Salty Snacks
Pine Tree Patrol: Desserts
Cobra: Appetizers or Salty Snacks
Wolverine: Desserts
Scorpion: Two (2 liter) Soft Drinks
Remember: Court of Honor, Monday night, September 20th, at 7 PM
