News ArchiveRocket City Marathon Service Project – Saturday Dec. 10th. Troop 343 has volunteered to staff an aid station … handing out water and Gatorade to the runners. Scouts will earn Service Hour credits for their time worked in this activity. ASM David King is Outing Coordinator for this activity. The aid station where we will be is near 12300 Chickamauga Trail in SE Huntsville.
Meet at 8:00 AM Date: Saturday 12/10/11 in the parking lot of Cove Church (we will depart no later than 8:15 AM) OR those who participate in the Lock-In the night before will depart directly from the Lock-In.
Pickup Time: 1:30 PM Date: Saturday 12/10/11 Location: Cove Church
Cost: $0 Total BRING MONEY FOR LUNCH … we will stop for fast food lunch (likely Zaxby’s) on our way back to the Church.
WEAR CLASS A UNIFORM (Scout shirt, scout pants, socks and belt) along with other clothing as necessary for the weather.
PERMISSION FORMS are due at Troop Meeting Monday night 11/14/11. Rocket City Marathon will provide free T-shirts to volunteers – but you must sign up early (by 11/14) so we can submit sizes and headcount.
