Current weather forcast calls for highs in the mid 50s Saturday with lows near freezing which up on the moutain probably means below freezing. Be prepared for cold weather! Layer up!
On Saturday, January 28th, we will be heading to Monte Sano to camp with the Cub Scouts of Pack 343. This will let the Webelos have their outdoor event with the Boy Scouts and be a chance to show the Cubs a bit of what being a Boy Scout is all about. We will be showing them how we do things, leading them on a short hike and put on a campfire for them. This will be a good cold winter outing so be prepared for the weather! (A few years ago when we did this the temperatures got down to 14º!)
We will meet at 1 PM Saturday at Cove Methodist. Costs will be $20. We will eat Saturday dinner, Sunday breakfast and lunch on the mountain. We will return to the Publix parking lot aroung 12:30 Sunday afternoon.
