We will depart from Cove Methodist at 4:30 pm on Friday 15 October. Weather now calls for lows in the upper 30s! Be prepared!
On October 15 – 17, Troop 343 will venture forth to Fall Creek Falls State Park in Pikeville, TN for a backpacking outing. This trip will meet the requirements for one of the 15 mile treks for Backpacking Merit Badge and will be an opportunity for scouts to fulfill many of the requirements for Second Class and First Class. We will camp close to the parking lot the night of the 15th and then push off for an 9 mike hike on Saturday. We’ll camp at a remote site Saturday night and complete the trip with a 6 mile hike back to the parking lot Sunday morning. Outing Scoutmaster is SM Scott McPheeters.
Weather for the weekend looks great! Highs in the low 70s and lows in the upper 30s! Pack accordingly!
