SUMMER CAMP at CAMP WOODRUFF, 11-17 July 2010. As preparations are winding up for camp just a couple of reminders. We will meet at 6:00 PM on Saturday 10 July at the Church to load the trailers and make sure all the preparations are taken care of so that we can depart at 8:00 AM in Class A uniforms on Sunday morning. (attached is a check list and personal equipment list for your planning purposes). The trip will be by caravan to Camp Woodruff and will take about four hours. Please make sure you have money for a lunch stop along the way for both Sunday 11 July and the return on Saturday 17 July. We are planning to return around 2:00 PM on Saturday 17 July at Cove Church parking lot. If you have any questions please call ASM McPheeters at 256.503.2046.
There will be troop compititions on Friday (Requested a schedule if possible) and the two spoof merit badges this year are Duck Tape and Pirate Cultural Awareness. Parents and families are welcome to join the scouts on Friday afternoon and can sign up for a box lunch dinner. Parents can sleep with the troop Friday night if we let the Camp know. So if you desire to spend the night on Friday in the great outdoors of Camp Woodruff's Georgia Mountain comforts, please let ASM Scott McPheeters know so we can coordinate the accomodations.
