Troop 343’s 2010 Whitewater Outing is planned for the weekend of August 27-29, 2010. We will camp this year again at the Whitewater Express Ocoee Outpost as a Troop on Friday and Saturday nights and divide up during the day on Saturday for the Whitewater activities. We are planning to offer options of Ocoee rafting, Nantahala rafting, or Nantahala FunYaks (inflatable 2-man canoes). Scouts who have never been on either river should plan to first go for one the rafting experiences. There may be an opportunity to participate in the climbing activities offered at the camp after your return to from the river. Please reserve the dates on your calendars. More details will posted as they become available. Outing coordinator for this event will be ASM Rich Arnold.
We will depart Cove Methodist at 5:00 PM Friday August 27th and return around 11:00am Sunday August 28th. Costs will be $95 for those going down the Nantahala or $105 for those going down the Ocoee. If you choose not to go down the river the cost is $40.
Permission slips and waivers (below) and money are due NTL 9 August or you will not be able to go on this outing.
